OUR VISIT TO MAJUWA VILLAGE NEPAL AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE

Lyn Taylor’s Adventure Travel experienced an action packed 2015, even the earth moved under our feet on the 25th April. Seven months after that devastating disaster in Nepal, came a very positive outcome. We not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who stepped forward with support financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. The people of Nepal’s gratitude showed in their eyes and hearts, having hope has uplifted their spirits. Thanks to Jennifer Shaw from Launceston Tasmania, and Christine Pepper from Alstonville NSW, who both travelled with me to Nepal in November provided support to myself, and the people of Nepal. During our 2 week stay at Majuwa village we physically helped clear the land, move boulders, and broke rock into gravel. We saw the progression of the rebuilding of the school from ground level, to the first stages of building the foundations, and now 1 month later 45% of the school has been completed. I do not think that any of us have ever done anything as rewarding. Jen and Christine are now both contemplating returning with me in April to celebrate the official opening of the school, and volunteer their skills re building the second school at Phulkharka village. We will finish with a 2 week trek to the spectacular Gokyo Lakes. Anyone who would love to join us please contact Lyn Taylor’s Adventure Travel for details.
